This shoot was all about the style! Edgy and powerful. Olivia and I put together some street outfits with big statement pieces like the leather jackets and star studded heels that commanded attention on the streets of Downtown Tampa. We only had about an hour for the whole shoot so we kept it down to two outfits with some variations made on the fly to really make the most of our time.
Other than that, the shoot was structured very loosely which is always a nice exercise to flex some creative muscles in unexpected ways. This also leaves a lot of room for shoot-anxiety to creep in real quick. So I showed up early to walk the streets myself and scout specific locations to shoot when Olivia arrived and took some quick snaps of them on my phone. This helps me remember where they are and form a bit of a game plan to avoid wandering aimlessly.
We made our rounds and got the shots I wanted, turned a couple of heads, and were asked to leave from private property once or twice. Per usual. Working with the shots in post, I really hit a stride and got these images to achieve a look I’ve been wanting to for a long time. More dark and moody without looking totally like someones hack at an Instagram trend. All said and done, I am absolutely stoked with how these images turned out and look forward to doing more work like this. I already have more in the pipeline so keep up.
