I’ve always really liked the way water and light interact. I wanted to explore this a little and create some dramatic portraits with artificial light in a pool. Just for fun. So I had my friend Rachel hop in the water and just shot around. Played around with different camera and light angles to see what the water would do on its own and how it affected the lighting on my subject. Honestly, I didn’t accomplish what I was envisioning but I didn’t necessarily have a goal here other than to learn and get some cool images. We definitely accomplished both of those. Can’t wait to keep playing with water in my shoots, maybe I’ll splash around a little more next time.
